VANCOUVER, Canada – June 12, 2009 – Russell Breweries Inc. (the “Company”) (TSX.V: RB), a producer of premium craft beer, today announced that it has successfully closed its previously announced offering of units (the “Units”) by way of a rights offering. All of the Units available for issuance under the rights offering were sold and the Company issued 6,665,087 Units under the rights offering at a price of $0.15 per Unit.

Each Unit is comprised of one common share and one non-transferable share purchase warrant (a “Warrant”). Each Warrant entitles the holder to purchase an additional common share of the Company at an exercise price of $0.25 per common share at any time commencing at 9:00 a.m. (Toronto time) on June 9, 2010 and ending at 5:00 p.m. (Toronto time) on June 8, 2011.

Bolder Investment Partners, Ltd. acted as managing dealer and standby guarantor for the rights offering.

The proceeds to the Company from the rights offering will be used the purchase of capital equipment, new product development and marketing and general working capital requirements of the Company.
