A Magical Outdoor Ice Skating Experience For All At Park Royal

Park Royal presents a unique community celebration - an outdoor ice-skating canal running through Main Street in The Village. Reminiscent of the Rideau Canal Skateway in Ottawa, the Village Canal will be available and free for all skaters. This will be the largest community celebration on the North Shore during the 2010 Olympics and everyone is invited to come and skate for free, rain or shine. The ice-skating canal will not be hampered by any warm weather because the ice is synthetic and while it looks and feels almost like the real think, they won't have to rely on a very fickly Mother Nature.

Park Royal's Winter Carnival
When: February 12 - 28, 2010
Skating Canal: 12 noon to 10pm
Beverage Tent: 4pm to 10pm
Where: A section of Main Street in The Village at Park Royal, West Vancouver

The entire CTV Games Broadcast will be shown on a big screen TV. There will be a beverage tent set up alongside the skating rink that will be serving a selection of local craft lagers and ales from Russell Brewing and a selection of BC wines. The tent will be relaxed, informal and fun, and a great place to gather with friends and family to experience the Games.

There will also be great entertainment at the North Shore Credit Union Entertainment Stage, featuring well-known personalities from the North Shore and the Sea-to-Sky Corridor including the following:

- Saturday February 20th - Rachel Thom - 5pm - 7pm

- Saturday February 27th - Mostly Marley & Exit This Side - 4pm - 9pm
